　　Annihilator是少數至今仍堅持毫無修飾的激流金屬風格的樂隊之一。他們眾多的專
輯之中，除SetTheWorldOnFire稍有商業色彩外，其餘均堅持走最原始的激流金屬路
線。主音吉他手JeffWaters的出色演奏是樂隊的亮點。實際上Annihilator可以說就是
Waters的個人樂隊，其他成員的工作都是協助Waters的個人表演。通常講，樂隊的前兩
張專輯是他們最出色的作品。但實際上，他們眾多專輯中沒有一張是失敗的。

　　來自加拿大的樂隊。他們早期的作品受到美國灣區（BayArea）ThrashMetal運動
的深刻影響。但是早期作品由於沒有太多特點，雖然也小有名氣，但是一直沒有公司賞
識。然而ANNIHILATOR卻成功在ThrashMetal行將結束的年代。他們在風格中嘗試加入
ClassicRock成分，憑藉自己的多年的磨練和經驗創造出了屬於ANNIHILATOR的風格，
用AliceInHell的出色表現一舉成名。樂隊也成為CanuckThrashers的代表人物。

　　樂隊的核心人物JeffWaters現在已經成為加拿大重金屬領域首屈一指的人物，這
張唱片中他擔任了除去鼓和演唱部分的所有樂器。相當的精準，所有的聲部絲絲入扣。
他的結他技術的確是非常過硬，他演奏的快速下切又勻又快，正是ANNIHILATOR的早期特
點之一。聽著他甩頭也是聽眾的一種享受。旋律化、高速、流暢以及精緻的編曲，再加
上完美的錄音效果，讓誰也無法拒絕的ANNIHILATOR的這張唱片。樂手們過硬的技術，演
奏這樣清晰的顆粒感，爆炸一樣的速度的音樂，沒有任何受拘束的現象，相反，把自己
的特點發揮的淋漓盡致！這張唱片至今仍舊是Roadrunner唱片公司歷史上銷售成績最好
的唱片，粗略統計全世界銷出250000張。
　　唱片開始的原聲結他和聲演奏猶如天籟之音，丁丁咚咚，充滿了讓人想像的空間，
一個非常漂亮的開頭。這一段也被很多人津津樂道，成為傳世之作。之後便是行雲流水
一樣的節奏和旋律，一氣呵成，沒有任何多餘。格外要提出的是Rampage的演唱也非常
適合他們的音樂，富有衝擊力而且精通各種變化。各個曲目的水準都很高，沒有弱項。
如果你喜歡一些比較重的ThrashMetal，那麼賣這張唱片的時候最好買有BonusTracks
的版本，因為裏麵包含了3首早期的Demo版本，製作的一點不含糊，而且更重要的是非
常的重和快速，而且演唱的嗓音也與現在的版本不同，非常的狠辣。這些Bonus
Tracks幾乎成為我比正式曲目還要喜歡的歌。尤其是對比聽Ligeia這一首，雖然Demo
版本的音質不是特別好，但是要比正式唱片中的爽多啦！
　　這可以說是一張適合各種口味的ThrashMetal唱片，製作精良而且表現出色的經典
唱片。如果你喜歡製作精細技術化旋律化的ThrashMetal唱片。
